Bo Jørgensen

Bo was born in 1980, probably near Flensburg in Germany. The new-born Bo was found in a cardboard box in the parking lot of the supermarket “Otto Duborg”. In the box was a receipt from the supermarket and a 10-pack of high-fibre Müsli bars. His biological mother and mother are not known. He grew up with his foster parents Ingmar and Leoni, but he tried to escape from home several times as a teenager. He did well in school and was popular with the girls due to his long curly hair and outgoing ways and sense of humour. When he was 15 he gave his first gig as a “stand up” performer, as part of a political theatre group “Sycophancy Show”, who performed at schools in Schleswig-Holstein and Niedersachsen. However, his sick sense of humour, often inspired by the “Monty Python’s Fliegender Zirkus”, was too much for some audiences and he was expelled from the group.

Miss Flensburg

When attending school at Duborg-skolen, he fell in love with “Miss Flensburg”, and after completing their studies Bo and Heike Görges moved to Fredercia, where Bo would take up a position polishing boats at the local rowing club. Alas, the relationship with Heike did not last, and Bo was shattered for many years. To kill the pain, he started a misuse of chocolate and was caught several times stealing “Kinderüberrashung” at the local kiosk on Prangervej. The police did not press charges, but Bo was moved to an institution in Middelfart, where he would become friends with Hans Bruntt. The two shared a fascination for zombie movies and Italian giallo. It is interesting that 10 years would pass before these two “film buffs” would meet again and take up their passion that would become “the new wave of Danish horror”. Two years later, Bo moved to Copenhagen, and worked there for many years first as a carpenter and then as a computer programmer for Rimfaxe holding.

Roskilde festival and Foking Films

In 2007 Bo attended the Roskilde festival for the first time. At this time, he was addicted to German almond chocolate, but also grew a strong appetite for dark rum. On the last day of the festival, he was found in a pool of mud, completely drunk and raving about his lost love from Flensburg. It was Peter Madsen who found him, and the two grew a profound friendship. Bo was immediately invited to the Skive camp and quickly became a member of the “post production” team behind Foking Films, thanks to his skills as a film editor and special effects guy. In addition, Bo became the artist behind all the film posters done by Foking Films.
