Lina Nielsen

Lina Nielsen (born 1987 in Bogense) is a semi-professional model and actor, having starred in a TV commercial and several short-films, mostly from the Foking Films production company. She is known for her lively and passionate demeanor, but is also feared by other models due to her “killer” eyes. It was exactly this attribute that caster and co-producer Daniel Foged sought when the preparations for the pilot episode of the failed TV-series Sex and the Zombie was shot at the Roskilde Festival in 2007. At first Lina refused to play the part as a comatose patient, who would transform to become a zombie, thereby redefining the boundaries of love in an otherwise classic Romeo and Juliet love story. When presented with the rest of the cast, and in particular the very tall, dark and handsome actor Steen Knudsen, Lina changed her mind completely.

“I was mostly lying naked beneath the dirty blood-smeared sheets, trying to hold my breath, and not laughing out loud,” Lina said in an interview with Orange Express after the pre-screening at the Roskilde film festival in July 2008. “I hated it, but I also liked to get on with my acting career. Working with Daniel, Bo and Hans was just… plain weird!” Lina was referring to the “one life, one time, do it” dogma that Foking Films is well-known for. “I had my mouth, throat and nose stuffed full of out-of-date Heinz tomato ketchup while the special effects guys were working for hours on the lighting. Oh, worst of all, the make-up artist was an obnoxious bald guy who smelled like a dead rat! I will never do this again!”

However, Lina did return as an actor in a Foking Film production only two years later as a victim of the nuclear explosion in Jakob the Evil One

Lina was raised in the foothills of southern Funen in Denmark. Very little is known about her childhood, and former head master Dan Frandsen in Bogense told us Lina was rarely seen around the school. Likewise, no photos of her as a child exist. It is believed that she deeply spiritual and has once been seen biting her finger nails while attending a concert with Burzum. She is the mother of two twins, one pair of which is Siamese. She has been married twice to the same man, the tall and handsome René Pedersen, whom she met at the shooting of “Son of Odin III – the revenge of Ho-Chi Göbbbels” in 2006.
